Map 1, Western Terminous of the M-DT, PA- Getting to the western terminous of the Mason-Dixon Trail is a bit tough. The most popular way is to have someone drop you off at the Whiskey Springs western terminous. There is only room for 3-4 cars at the terminous and those spaces are shared with the Appalachian Trail. One could get to Carlisle, PA and hike 14 miles south on the AT to the M-DT, though no known public transportation is available to Carlisle. Uber runs from Harrisburg, PA to Carlisle, PA.   And one could take a train to Harpers Ferry, WV, then hike the AT 92 miles north to the M-DT. One could take a cab to the western terminous. Here are two cab companies based in Carlisle, PA: Cumberland Valley Car Service, 717-745-7475 and RC Cab, 717-440-2486. Those are your options for getting to the western terminous of the M-DT.
